Role overview:
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, build, and iterate on predictive and analytical models that support key commercial and operational decisions across the business.
This role involves hands-on development of AI/ML models within our cloud environment, working closely with partners from Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering. The focus of the role is on model development, evaluation, and insight generation, rather than infrastructure or platform ownership.
What you will do
- Design, develop and evaluate AI/ML models using Python or similar.
- Explore and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, drivers and opportunities that inform business decisions.
- Engineer features and select appropriate machine learning or statistical techniques for a range of modelling problems.
- Assess model performance using robust evaluation methods and iterate based on results and feedback.
- Translate analytical outputs into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, assess analytical opportunities, and translate requirements into modelling approaches.
