Working Student as Data / Machine Learning Engineer

Your new team:

In our Data Product team we solve data-related challenges by designing & building end-to-end advanced analytical solutions, infrastructure & visualisations.

You will create value for our clients by applying and further developing your engineering expertise.

What awaits you:

• You work with Data Engineers and experts from Business Intelligence, Data Science and Analytics. Based on your interests you can contribute to multiple parts of our team.
• You help develop and productionize Machine Learning solutions for FELD M and our customers.
• You help build scalable AI products and data architectures within the cloud, which are capable of processing and analyzing various kind of data sets.
• You support the Data Product team with e.g. developing customized AI systems (RAGs, Agents, etc.), and assessing new tools in the field of GenAI and data engineering.
• Depending on your interests and skills we will help you grow into a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Engineer role in our Data Product team.

What you bring along:

• You have already gained experience in an internship or working student role as Data Engineer or in a similar profession.
• You are familiar with Python, SQL and Linux Shell. Experience with the following programming languages is a plus: Spark, R, Java, or JavaScript.
• You ideally have hands-on experience with building and evaluating machine learning models, and are familiar with concepts like neural networks, transformers, or techniques such as fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, or using pre-trained models like GPT or BERT.
• Within the team and when working together on organisation-wide topics, we communicate in English - therefore, oral and written communication in English should be easy for you. Speaking German would be a plus.
• You are located in or near Munich for occasional in-office collaboration.
