Senior Applied AI Engineer
Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Applied AI Engineer to join an AI-first enablement team focused on transforming enterprise architecture through automation, internal tooling, lightweight applications, and Generative AI solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role for a strong software developer with deep Python expertise who can design, build, and deliver scalable, production-grade solutions. The ideal candidate combines solid software engineering fundamentals with practical experience leveraging AI technologies to solve complex business problems.
Responsibilities
- check_circle Partner with senior technologists and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and improve existing workflows.
- check_circle Design, develop, and maintain internal applications, APIs, dashboards, AI agents, and automation solutions.
- check_circle Build and deploy AI-enabled products using modern Generative AI technologies and frameworks.
- check_circle Translate emerging AI trends, risks, and architectural patterns into practical governance and enablement tools.
- check_circle Utilize AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Codex) to accelerate software development while maintaining engineering best practices.
- check_circle Review, test, debug, refactor, and optimize AI-generated and manually written code.
- check_circle Design efficient data models, database schemas, and scalable data access patterns.
- check_circle Rapidly prototype new ideas, gather user feedback, and iterate on solutions.
- check_circle Establish reusable frameworks, integrations, standards, and guardrails for responsible AI adoption.
- check_circle Support and mentor stakeholders in the safe and effective use of AI-assisted development practices.
Basic qualifications
- 7+ years of professional Python software development experience.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, testing, maintainability, and scalable application development.
- Experience building APIs, automation solutions, internal tools, or web applications using modern Python frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, database design, and data modeling.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and workflow orchestration.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) while maintaining high engineering standards.Familiarity with modern AI frameworks and technologies such as LangGraph, Agent SDKs, vector databases, and retrieval systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- A builder mindset with a passion for creating high-quality, impactful products.
