We are on a mission to help retailers and consumer brands accelerate their growth by making smarter data-driven marketing decisions. From day one, Sellforte has been inherently a data science company. Our product is built on advanced modelling instead of vanity metrics. Since 2017, we have delivered a state-of-the-art Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) solution that helps marketing teams and agencies evaluate and improve the effectiveness of their marketing and promotional activities.

We are now entering a new phase of growth. Our customer base is expanding internationally, and at the same time we are scaling our product to support new use cases beyond traditional MMM. This includes moving toward more granular optimisation, broader decision-making support, and increasingly automated and intelligent marketing workflows, as well as tighter integration of causal experimentation to continuously validate and improve decisions.

This growth brings both opportunities and challenges. As we expand, we need to continuously improve how our product works in real-world situations, how we deliver value to customers, and how we scale our ways of working. For the people joining us, this creates a unique opportunity to learn fast, take responsibility, and have a direct impact on how the company and product evolve.

Sellforte is growing fast, and we are scaling how we deliver value to customers while maintaining a high level of quality.

Our product is essentially a data and modelling pipeline that sits at the core of every customer engagement. Data Scientists play a key role in making that pipeline work in real-world situations. At the same time, they are the people who best understand how the product should evolve, because they see daily what works, what breaks, and what creates value.

The role is evolving quickly. With modern AI tools such as Claude Code and Codex, many parts of the work can be automated or accelerated more easily than before. This allows our Data Scientists to focus more on solving real customer problems and improving how the service operates end-to-end.

What you will do as a Customer Data Scientist

Your main responsibility is to ensure that our customers get clear, reliable value from the Sellforte service.

You will work closely with customer data, modelling pipelines, and stakeholders to make sure everything runs smoothly and produces actionable insights.

In practice, you will:

Work directly with customers to solve business problems using data and modelling
Conduct exploratory data analysis to understand customer data and identify issues or opportunities
Onboard new customers by setting up data pipelines, configuring models, and ensuring a smooth launch overall
Ensure that modelling and product pipelines run reliably and produce high-quality outputs
Validate results, forecasts, and recommendations before they are delivered to customers
Participate in customer meetings and communicate technical topics in a clear and practical way

A key part of the role is also improving how the product works through real usage. You will:

Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies in delivery and turn them into improvements
Automate workflows and reduce manual work using modern AI tools
Contribute to product and pipeline development based on real customer needs
Work closely with other Data Scientists to develop and refine models, including Bayesian time-series models

What we hope from you

Relevant experience as a Data Scientist, Analytics Consultant, or similar role where you have worked with real business data
Strong communication skills in English and the ability to explain complex topics clearly
A structured and reliable way of working, especially when handling customer-facing deliverables
A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of both problems and outcomes
Hands-on technical skills, especially in Python and common data tools
Interest in improving workflows and using AI tools in practice
Willingness to work across customer delivery and continuous improvement of the product
Location in the Helsinki/Espoo region, or willingness to relocate. We offer relocation support to Finland. For GDPR and contractual reasons, the role must be performed from within Europe.

Starting salary for Medior level: €4,200–5,000 per month.
